A novel maize variety designated X90V901 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X90V901 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X90V901 through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X90V901, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X90V901 are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X90V901 and methods of using maize variety X90V901 are disclosed.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X90V901, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety 2ZZSB1121 with a second plant of variety PH1M77, wherein representative seed of the varieties 2ZZSB1121 and PH1M77 have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-______ and PTA-______, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X90V901 further comprising a single locus conversion, wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises a trait conferred by the single locus conversion, and wherein the seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety 2ZZSB1121 with a second plant of variety PH1M77, wherein the first plant, the second plant or both further comprise the single locus conversion, and wherein representative seed of the varieties 2ZZSB1121 and PH1M77 have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-______ and PTA-______, respectively.
A method for producing a hybrid maize variety X90V901 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the method comprising crossing a first plant of variety 2ZZSB1121 with a second plant of variety PH1M77, representative seed of the varieties 2ZZSB1121 and PH1M77 having been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-______ and PTA-______, respectively, wherein at least one of the varieties 2ZZSB1121 and PH1M77 further comprises the locus conversion.
