Luminaire network with sensors

A luminaire network, comprising a plurality of luminaires comprising a lighting apparatus, wherein the plurality of the luminaires comprises:

• a communication unit configured to enable communication of data to and from communication units of other luminaires in said plurality of luminaires and/or to a central unit;
• a processing unit;
• a control unit configured to control the lighting apparatus as well as the communication and processing units;
• and
• at least one first sensor, configured to output first sensed data,
• wherein the processing unit is configured to process the first sensed data to produce first processed data, wherein processing the first sensed data comprises obtaining classification information as the first processed data,
• wherein the luminaire network is further configured such that the first processed data of at least two luminaires is further processed to produce second processed data, and wherein processing the first processed data comprises obtaining classification information as the second processed data by combining the first processed data of the at least two luminaires.

A luminaire network, comprising a plurality of luminaires comprising a lighting apparatus, wherein the plurality of the luminaires comprises:

• a communication unit configured to enable communication of data to and from communication units of other luminaires in said plurality of luminaires and/or to a central unit;
• a processing unit;
• a control unit configured to control the lighting apparatus as well as the communication and processing units;
• at least one first sensor, configured to output first sensed data;
• and
• wherein the processing unit is configured to process the first sensed data to produce first processed data, and
• wherein the luminaire network is further configured such that the first processed data of at least two luminaires and the second sensed data of at least one luminaire is further processed to produce second processed data.

A luminaire network, comprising a plurality of luminaires comprising a lighting apparatus, wherein the plurality of the luminaires comprises:

• a communication unit configured to enable communication of data to and from communication units of other luminaires in said plurality of luminaires and/or to a central unit;
• a processing unit;
• a control unit configured to control the lighting apparatus as well as the communication and processing units;
• and
• at least one first sensor, configured to output first sensed data,
• wherein the processing unit is configured to process the first sensed data to produce first processed data,
• wherein the luminaire network is further configured such that the first processed data of at least two luminaires is further processed to produce second processed data, and wherein determining the second processed data based on the first processed data from the at least two luminaires is done in one of the at least two luminaires.
