Abstract
A computer implemented method includes receiving a request for device validation, reading a genesis record from a device, the genesis record containing a device identification (ID), an original owner ID, a current owner ID, and a first hash of the device ID, an original owner ID, a current owner ID, and validating, by multiple processing entities having replicated copies of a chain that includes the genesis record and a succeeding transfer block, ownership of the device.

A computer implemented method comprising:
- receiving a request for device validation;
- reading a genesis record from a device, the genesis record containing a device identification (ID), an original owner ID, a current owner ID, and a first hash of the device ID, an original owner ID, a current owner ID;
- and
- validating, by multiple processing entities having replicated copies of a chain that includes the genesis record and a succeeding transfer block, ownership of the device.
A machine-readable storage device having instructions for execution by a processor of a machine to cause the processor to perform operations to perform a method, the operations comprising:
- receiving a request for device validation;
- reading a genesis record from a device, the genesis record containing a device identification (ID), an original owner ID, a current owner ID, and a first hash of the device ID, an original owner ID, a current owner ID;
- and
- validating, by multiple processing entities having replicated copies of a chain that includes the genesis record and a succeeding transfer block, ownership of the device.
A device comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory device coupled to the processor and having a program stored thereon for execution by the processor to perform operations comprising:
- receiving a request for device validation;
- reading a genesis record from a device, the genesis record containing a device identification (ID), an original owner ID, a current owner ID, and a first hash of the device ID, an original owner ID, a current owner ID;
- and
- validating, by multiple processing entities having replicated copies of a chain that includes the genesis record and a succeeding transfer block, ownership of the device.
