Abstract
An oven cooling system may include a body having an oven cavity. The system may include a heating element may be operably configured to heat the oven cavity. A door may be coupled to the body and operably configured to open and close. The system may also include an energy bank. Cooling elements may be located in the oven and coupled to the energy bank. The energy bank may be configured to remove heat from the oven cavity to cool the oven.

An oven cooling method, comprising:
- sensing a position of an oven door;
- sensing an oven temperature if the oven door is open;
- determining that the oven temperature is above a threshold;
- and
- cooling oven surfaces if the oven temperature is above the threshold.

A cooktop cooling system comprising:
- a cooktop surface;
- a heating element below an upper surface of the cooktop surface operably configured to heat a portion of the cooktop surface;
- a user interface configured to turn the heating element on and off;
- an energy bank;
- and
- cooling circuits between the heating element and the cooktop surface, wherein the energy bank and cooling circuits act to remove energy from the cooktop to cool the cooktop surface when the heating element is turned off.
