Abstract
An assembly for a gas turbine engine includes a plurality of vanes having a radially outer platform with a flange that extends radially outward therefrom and a plurality of notches in the flange. A ring is located radially outward from the radially outer platform of the plurality of vanes. An axially extending projection extends through and corresponds with each of the plurality of notches on the flange.

1-15. (canceled)
A method of assembly, the method comprising:
- locating a plurality of vanes about an inner circumference of a ring;
- and
- aligning a notch on a radially outer platform of each of the plurality of vanes with a corresponding axially extending projection on the ring to prevent the plurality of vanes from rotating relative to the ring.
An assembly for a gas turbine engine comprising:
- a vane disposed about an axis and having a radially outer platform, a flange projecting radially outwardly from the radially outer platform, and a notch extending axially through the flange such that the notch opens at forward and aft flange faces of the flange;
- and
- a ring located radially outward of the radially outer platform, the ring having axially forward and aft ring faces and a lug extending axially from the forward ring face, the lug extending axially through the notch on the flange and limiting circumferential movement of the vane.
