Abstract
The present disclosure relates to methods of screening compounds which reduce or inhibit CHMP7 in neuronal cells or a population of cells and methods of inhibiting CHMP7 expression in a cell to treat one or more subjects suffering from one or more neurodegenerative diseases.
Claims14
A method for screening compounds which reduce or inhibit CHMP7 in a neuronal cell or population of cells, the method comprising administering to a neuronal cell or population of cells at least one compound and determining if the compound reduces or inhibits CHMP7 expression in the cell or population of cells.
A method of inhibiting CHMP7 expression in a neuronal cell or population of cells, the method comprising administering to the cell or population of cells an effective amount of a CHMP7 inhibiting agent.
A method of treating a neurodegenerative disease in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a CHMP7 inhibiting agent.
The method of claim 9, wherein the CHMP7 inhibiting agent is administered to a subject in an amount of about 0.001 mg/kg to about 1000 mg/kg.
