Method and apparatus for manufacturing vacuum adiabatic body

A method for manufacturing a device having a vacuum adiabatic body, the method comprising:

• preparing a plurality of components to be used to form the vacuum adiabatic body the plurality of components including a first plate, a second plate and a support, wherein in order to prepare the support by using a resin, an injection molding machine is used to inject a mixture of polyphenylenesulfide (PPS) and glass fiber (GF);
• assembling the plurality of components such that the support is between the first plate and the second plate;
• sealing a space between the first plate and the second plate;
• discharging internal air from the space between the first and second plates;
• and
• providing the device by assembling the vacuum adiabatic body on the device.

An apparatus for manufacturing a component of a vacuum adiabatic body, the apparatus comprising:

• a sprue configured to introduce a liquid resin;
• a mold having a space filled with the liquid resin;
• a pressing device configured to press the liquid resin;
• and
• a cylinder configured to accommodate the liquid resin,
• wherein the mold includes at least one of a flow leader and a flow restrictor, and
• the liquid resin includes a mixture of polyphenylenesulfide (PPS) and glass fiber (GF).
