A formulation comprising a beta-lactamase, wherein the formulation comprises at least one particle with each particle comprising:
- about 0.5-2.5% beta-lactamase;
- about 0.1-1% hydroxypropylmethylcellulose acetate succinate (HPMCAS);
- about 5-15% ethylcellulose dispersion;
- about 0.1-1% sodium-stearyl fumarate;
- about 0.1-1% buffer;
- and
- about 80-90% water.
