Abstract
An endoscope comprising a tip part having an ultrasound transceiver, a camera module, and a working channel. The tip part comprises an outer housing receiving the ultrasound transceiver and the camera module.
Claims18
An endoscope comprising:
- a tip part comprising:
- an outer housing, an ultrasound transceiver, and a camera module, the outer housing comprising an ultrasound transceiver compartment and a camera module compartment, the ultrasound transceiver and the camera module positioned, respectively, in the ultrasound transceiver compartment and the camera module compartment,
- wherein the camera module includes a housing and a camera positioned inside the housing, the camera module being capable of generating images prior to insertion into the camera module compartment.
The method of claim 12, further comprising securing a working channel tube to the housing of the camera module, the working channel tube being in fluid communication with the working channel passage after said securing.
An endoscope comprising:
- a handle;
- a tip part;
- and
- an insertion cord, the insertion cord extending distally from said handle, the insertion cord including the tip part and a working channel tube including a working channel portion of a working channel and extending from the handle to the tip part, the outer housing of the tip part being connected to the insertion cord,
- wherein the camera module includes a housing and a camera positioned inside the housing, the camera module being capable of generating images prior to insertion into the camera module compartment,
- wherein the outer housing comprises a groove configured to retain a balloon, and
- wherein the groove is positioned intermediate the camera module and the ultrasound transceiver.
