Evaluating telecommunication services based on dependencies systems and methods

At least one computer-readable medium, excluding transitory signals, and carrying instructions that, when executed by at least computing system, cause the computing system to perform operations to generate a software environment for deployment of a telecommunication service, the operations comprising:

• accessing a set of declared dependencies for a telecommunication service that includes a software application,
• wherein each declared dependency in the set of declared dependencies is associated with a dependent service used by the telecommunication service, and
• wherein one or more dependent services associated with the declared dependencies include a different software application, a web service, or a microservice;
• identifying, based on the set of declared dependencies, a set of dependent services used by the telecommunication service;
• causing generation of a software environment for deployment of the software application and the set of dependent services;
• detecting execution of operations by the software application in the generated software environment;
• receiving an analysis of results of the execution of the operations to generate a set of actual dependencies for the telecommunication service using values that are based, at least in part, on network traffic data,
• wherein at least one dependency in the set of actual dependencies lacks a matching dependency in the set of declared dependencies, or at least one dependency in the set of declared dependencies lacks a matching dependency in the set of actual dependencies;
• and
• evaluating at least one feature of the telecommunication service based on comparing the set of actual dependencies to the set of declared dependencies.

At least one computer-readable medium, excluding transitory signals, and carrying instructions that, when executed by at least computing system, cause the computing system to perform operations to evaluate a telecommunication service based on a set of declared dependencies, the operations comprising:

• accessing a set of declared dependencies for a telecommunication service that includes a software application,
• wherein each declared dependency in the set of declared dependencies is associated with a dependent service used by the telecommunication service, and
• wherein one or more dependent services associated with the declared dependencies include a different software application, a web service, or a microservice;
• detecting performance metrics of at least some operations specified in source code for the software application,
• wherein the at least some operations include accessing at least one dependent service of the one or more dependent services associated with the declared dependencies;
• generating a set of actual dependencies for the telecommunication service using values that are based, at least in part, on network traffic data,
• wherein at least one dependency in the set of actual dependencies lacks a matching dependency in the set of declared dependencies, or at least one dependency in the set of declared dependencies lacks a matching dependency in the set of actual dependencies;
• and
• evaluating at least one feature of the telecommunication service based on a comparison of dependencies in the set of actual dependencies to the dependencies in the set of declared dependencies.
