Abstract
Methods and systems are described for authenticating calls. An example method may comprise receiving a message indicative of a call request. Header data associated with the message may be analyzed to determine an attestation value. A signature may be generated based on the attestation value. A signed message comprising the signature and at least a portion of the message may be sent.
Claims36
A method comprising:
- determining, based on a presence or absence of a diversion header associated with a message indicative of a call request, an attestation value indicative of trustworthiness associated with a sender identifier in the message;
- generating, based on the attestation value, a signature;
- and
- sending, based on a destination identifier in the message, a signed message comprising the signature and at least a portion of the message.

- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to:
- determine, based on a presence or absence of a diversion header associated with a message indicative of a call request, an attestation value indicative of trustworthiness associated with a sender identifier in the message;
- generate, based on the attestation value, a signature;
- and
- send, based on a destination identifier in the message, a signed message comprising the signature and at least a portion of the message.
