Abstract
A method performed by a network device in a communication system, includes: identifying information related to a first virtual network function (VNF); identifying a first operation mode of the first VNF; and determining a second operation mode of the first VNF, based on the information related to the first VNF and a deep learning model; and determining a third operation mode of the first VNF, based on the second operation mode of the first VNF and the first operation mode of the first VNF. The first VNF is redundant with a second VNF. The third operation mode is either an active mode or a standby mode.
Claims16
A method performed by a network device in a communication system, the method comprising:
- identifying information related to a first virtual network function (VNF);
- identifying a first operation mode of the first VNF;
- and
- determining a second operation mode of the first VNF, based on the information related to the first VNF and a deep learning model;
- and
- determining a third operation mode of the first VNF, based on the second operation mode of the first VNF and the first operation mode of the first VNF,
- wherein the first VNF is redundant with a second VNF, and
- wherein the third operation mode is either an active mode or a standby mode.
A network device in a communication system, the network device comprising:
- at least one transceiver;
- and
- at least one processor operably connected to the at least one transceiver,
- wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
- identify information related to a first virtual network function (VNF),
- identify a first operation mode of the first VNF,
- determine an second operation mode of the first VNF, based on the information related to the first VNF and a deep learning model, and
- determine a third operation mode of the first VNF, based on the second operation mode of the first VNF and the first operation mode of the first VNF,
- wherein the first VNF is redundant with a second VNF, and
- wherein the third operation mode is either an active mode or a standby mode.
