Abstract
Aspects of the present disclosure configure a system component, such as a memory sub-system controller, to provide adaptive media management based on temperature-related memory component capabilities. The controller can obtain a write temperature associated with an individual group of memory components. Based on the write temperature and a temperature threshold associated with the individual group of memory components, the controller can select an individual media management operation to perform.
Claims20
A system comprising:
- a set of memory components of a memory sub-system;
- and
- at least one processing device operatively coupled to the set of memory components, the at least one processing device being configured to perform operations comprising:
- obtaining a temperature associated with an individual group of memory components;
- comparing the temperature associated with the individual group of memory components to a temperature threshold associated with the individual group of memory components;
- and
- performing an individual media management operation on the individual group of memory components based on a result of comparing the temperature associated with the individual group of memory components to the temperature threshold.
A method comprising:
- obtaining a temperature associated with an individual group of memory components;
- comparing the temperature associated with the individual group of memory components to a temperature threshold associated with the individual group of memory components;
- and
- performing an individual media management operation on the individual group of memory components based on a result of comparing the temperature associated with the individual group of memory components to the temperature threshold.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by at least one processing device, cause the at least one processing device to perform operations comprising:
- obtaining a temperature associated with an individual group of memory components;
- comparing the temperature associated with the individual group of memory components to a temperature threshold associated with the individual group of memory components;
- and
- performing an individual media management operation on the individual group of memory components based on a result of comparing the temperature associated with the individual group of memory components to the temperature threshold.
