A portable information terminal device is provided having a display screen, a function of displaying a data on the display screen and a function of viewing and editing the data, the device having an operation element that is displayed on the display screen and operates the display of the data, and a function of scrolling the data displayed-on the display screen up and down the display screen by an operation of the operation element, and a function of writing or adding a new data at an arbitrary position of the display screen by an operation of the operation element.
