Domestic appliance having a symmetrical bracket of a hinge for a door, and method for producing a domestic appliance

A household appliance, comprising:

• a housing having a front with an end face, said housing having at least one receiving compartment disposed in said housing for receiving food;
• at least one hinge disposed on said front of said housing;
• a door disposed on said at least one hinge, permitting said door to be pivoted relative to said housing;
• and
• said at least one hinge having a bearing bracket and at least one fastening element fastening said bearing bracket to said end face;
• said bearing bracket having a symmetrical construction as viewed from said front of the household appliance.

A method for producing a household appliance, the method comprising steps of:

• providing a housing of the household appliance having at least one receiving space in the housing for receiving food;
• providing a hinge of the household appliance for receiving a door of the household appliance and permitting the door to be pivoted relative to the housing in an assembled state, the hinge having at least one symmetrical bearing bracket;
• variably hinging the door by installing the symmetrical bearing bracket on a left-side end face of a front of the housing or on a right-side end face of the front of the housing;
• and
• placing the door on the symmetrical bearing bracket in identical positions relative to a height direction and a width direction of the household appliance in a closed state and relative to the housing, whether installing the symmetrical bearing bracket on the left-side end face or the right-side end face.
