Abstract
Proposed are I-III-VI based quantum dots with high efficiency visible light emission for use as display materials and a method for fabricating the same. The quantum dots include a quantum dot core of Group 11-Group 13-Group 16, and Group 17 element attached to a surface of the quantum dot core.
Claims20
Quantum dots, comprising:
- a quantum dot core of Group 11-Group 13-Group 16;
- and
- Group 17 element attached to a surface of the quantum dot core.
A method for fabricating quantum dots, comprising:
- forming a quantum dot core of Group 11-Group 13-Group 16 using a halide based metal salt precursor;
- and
- fabricating quantum dots including Group 17 element attached to a surface of the quantum dot core,
- wherein the Group 17 element is supplied from the halide based metal salt precursor.
