Abstract
A polyurethane-polyurea comprising water blown foam having an apparent density in the range 30-700 kg/m3 measured according to ISO 845 and having a tensile strength (measured according to DIN 53504) over apparent density ratio of at least 10 kPa·m3/kg. These foams are very suitable for use in footwear and automotive and more in particular in applications aiming for consumer comfort.
Claims15
An elastomeric polyurethane-polyurea comprising water blown foam having an apparent density in the range 30-700 kg/m3 measured according to ISO 845 and having a tensile strength (measured according to DIN 53504) over apparent density ratio of at least 10 kPa·m3/kg and wherein the foam has
- Optionally urethane hard-block species formed from D equivalents urethane forming isocyanate reactive species having hydroxyl functional groups and a molecular weight <500 g/mol, and
- Optionally urea hard-block species formed from E equivalents urea forming isocyanate reactive species having amine functional groups and a molecular weight <500 g/mol, and
- Urea hard-block species formed from C urea forming equivalents of water
- such that the total number of urethane and urea hard-block species formed from D equivalents urethane forming isocyanate reactive species and E equivalents urea forming isocyanate reactive species over the total number urea of hard-block species from formed from C equivalents water is smaller than 1.4 and calculated as
- D
