Abstract
In an example, a method includes identifying, by processing circuitry, a feature of less than a threshold size of an object to be generated in additive manufacturing. In some examples the method further includes determining, by processing circuitry, a first density of a print agent to be applied to build material when generating the identified feature of the object based on an intended flexibility of the feature of the object. The method may further include determining, by processing circuitry, a second density of print agent to be applied to build material when generating another feature of the object.
Claims15
A method comprising:
- identifying, by processing circuitry, a feature of less than a threshold size of an object to be generated in additive manufacturing;
- determining, by processing circuitry, a first density of a print agent to be applied to build material when generating the identified feature of the object based on an intended flexibility of the feature of the object;
- and
- determining, by processing circuitry, a second density of print agent to be applied to build material when generating another feature of the object.
An apparatus comprising processing circuitry, the processing circuitry comprising:
- a feature identification module to identify, in object model data, features of an object to be generated in additive manufacturing which are less than a threshold size;
- and
- a fusing agent module to determine an area coverage of fusing agent to be applied to build material when generating the object based on a correlation of fusing agent and flexibility of the identified features of the object when generated.
An object generated by additive manufacturing comprising:
- a flexible feature of less than a threshold size generated using a first density of fusing agent;
- a feature of greater than the threshold size generated using a second density of fusing agent.
