Abstract
An anticorrosive dummy bullet for a firearm to protect the firearm from corrosion over a period of time. The anticorrosive dummy bullet has a body made from plastic or polymeric material and a vapor corrosion inhibitor is infused into the body. The vapor corrosion inhibitor is slowly released into the chamber and barrel of the firearm over a period of time protecting the firearm from corrosion during this period of time.

A method for protecting a firearm from corrosion, the firearm configured to receive a standard bullet for firing, the method comprising:
- providing an anticorrosive dummy bullet, the anticorrosive dummy bullet is made from a plastic or polymeric material and infused with vapor corrosion inhibitor, wherein the anticorrosive dummy bullet is configured to slowly release the vapor corrosion inhibitor over a period of time;
- and
- putting the anticorrosive dummy bullet into the firearm in place of the standard bullet.
An anticorrosive dummy bullet for a firearm to protect the firearm from corrosion, the firearm configured to receive a standard bullet for firing, the anticorrosive dummy bullet comprising:
- a body made from plastic or polymeric material;
- and
- vapor corrosion inhibitor infused into the body of the anticorrosive dummy bullet,
- wherein the anticorrosive dummy bullet is configured to slowly release the vapor corrosion inhibitor over a period of time.
