Abstract
A fishing reel includes a casing having an inner surface. The fishing reel further includes a spool assembly configured to rotate about an axis and having an outer surface located radially inward relative to the inner surface of the casing and defining at least one pocket. The fishing reel further includes at least one body configured to be received by the at least one pocket and to move within the at least one pocket between a first position in which the at least one body fails to contact the inner surface of the casing and a second position in which the at least one body contacts the inner surface of the casing

A fishing reel comprising:
- a casing having an inner surface;
- a spool assembly configured to rotate about an axis and having an outer surface located radially inward relative to the inner surface of the casing and defining at least one pocket;
- and
- at least one body configured to be received by the at least one pocket and to move within the at least one pocket between a first position in which the at least one body fails to contact the inner surface of the casing and a second position in which the at least one body contacts the inner surface of the casing.
A fishing reel comprising:
- a casing having an inner surface;
- a spool assembly configured to rotate about an axis;
- and
- at least one body configured to be rotatably coupled to the spool assembly and to rotate with the spool assembly about the axis, the at least one body being further configured to move between a first position in which the at least one body fails to contact the inner surface of the casing and a second position in which the at least one body contacts the inner surface of the casing.
A fishing reel comprising:
- a casing having an inner surface;
- a spool assembly configured to rotate about an axis and having a spool and a spool cover configured to be coupled to the spool, the spool cover including an outer surface located radially inward relative to the inner surface of the casing and defining a plurality of pockets;
- and
- a plurality of bodies each configured to be received by a respective pocket of the plurality of pockets and to move within the respective pocket between a first position in which a respective body fails to contact the inner surface of the casing and a second position in which the respective body contacts the inner surface of the casing.
