Abstract
A carton for holding at least one article includes a plurality of panels extending at least partially around an interior of the carton, the plurality of panels including a plurality of side panels, a plurality of end flaps foldably connected to a respective side panel of the plurality of side panels, the plurality of end flaps forming a reclosable end of the carton, the plurality of end flaps including at least one top end flap having a plurality of reconfigurable portions, and opening features for transitioning the reclosable end of the carton from a closed configuration to an open configuration when pressed by a user.
Claims43
A carton for holding at least one article, the carton comprising:
- a plurality of panels extending at least partially around an interior of the carton, the plurality of panels comprising a plurality of side panels;
- a plurality of end flaps foldably connected to a respective side panel of the plurality of side panels, the plurality of end flaps forming a reclosable end of the carton, the plurality of end flaps comprising at least one top end flap having a plurality of reconfigurable portions;
- and
- opening features for transitioning the reclosable end of the carton from a closed configuration to an open configuration when pressed by a user.
A blank for forming a carton for holding at least one article, the blank comprising:
- a plurality of panels for extending at least partially around an interior of the carton formed from the blank, the plurality of panels comprising a plurality of side panels;
- a plurality of end flaps foldably connected to a respective side panel of the plurality of side panels, the plurality of end flaps for forming a reclosable end of the carton formed from the blank, the plurality of end flaps comprising at least one top end flap having a plurality of reconfigurable portions;
- and
- opening features for transitioning the reclosable end of the carton formed from the blank from a closed configuration to an open configuration when the opening features are pressed by a user.
A method of forming a carton for holding at least one article, the method comprising:
- obtaining a blank comprising a plurality of panels, a plurality of end flaps foldably connected to a respective panel of the plurality of panels, and opening features, the plurality of panels comprising a plurality of side panels, the plurality of end flaps comprising at least one top end flap having a plurality of reconfigurable portions;
- positioning the plurality of panels extending at least partially around an interior of the carton;
- and
- forming a reclosable end of the carton from the plurality of end flaps such that the opening features are for transitioning the reclosable end of the carton from a closed configuration to an open configuration when pressed by a user.
