Abstract
The present invention relates to a liquid pharmaceutical formulation, which is stable at room temperature, being essentially free of water, comprising a) at least one easily degradable active pharmaceutical ingredient, b) at least one pharmaceutically acceptable organic solvent and c) at least one pharmaceutically acceptable alkaline earth metal salt and its use in medicine.

A method of treating a subject having cancer, the method comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically effective amount of a liquid pharmaceutical formulation, having a water content of below 1.0% (w/w) water, comprising
- a) Bendamustine as an active pharmaceutical ingredient;
- b) at least one pharmaceutically acceptable organic solvent comprising propylene glycol, polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG 400) or a mixture of propylene glycol and PEG 400;
- and
- c) a calcium salt.
The method of clam 1, wherein the calcium salt is present in a concentration of 0.1 to 3 mol/L based on the overall volume of the liquid pharmaceutical formulation.
