Abstract
A method for operating a magnetic resonance imaging scanner, comprising: providing 3D data from a patient; providing target parameters, wherein the target parameters include an excitation of nuclear spins to be achieved; ascertaining a spectrally selective excitation pulse for emission by a transmitter based on the 3D data from the patient, wherein the spectrally selective excitation pulse is configured to generate the target parameters; and outputting the spectrally selective excitation pulse via the transmitter.
Claims20
A method for operating a magnetic resonance imaging scanner, the magnetic resonance imaging scanner including a field magnet for generating a static homogeneous magnetic field B0 and a transmitter for exciting nuclear spins in a patient, wherein the method comprises:
- providing 3D data from the patient;
- providing target parameters, wherein the target parameters include excitation of nuclear spins to be achieved;
- ascertaining a spectrally selective excitation pulse for emission by the transmitter based on the 3D data from the patient, wherein the spectrally selective excitation pulse is configured to generate the target parameters;
- and
- outputting the spectrally selective excitation pulse via the transmitter.
A magnetic resonance imaging scanner comprising:
- at least one processor configured to executed computer-readable instructions to cause the magnetic resonance imaging scanner to
- provide 3D data from a patient,
- provide target parameters, the target parameters including excitation of nuclear spins to be achieved,
- ascertain a spectrally selective excitation pulse based on the 3D data from the patient, the spectrally selective excitation pulse being configured to generate the target parameters, and
- output the spectrally selective excitation pulse.
