Abstract
A blind rivet setting tool including a channel along which the broken mandrels of set rivets can be moved and biasing means for biasing blocking means into the channel for blocking the movement of a broken mandrel along the channel whereby a broken mandrel must urge the blocking means out of the way against said bias in order to move past the blocking means.
Claims13
A blind rivet setting tool comprising:
- grippers for pulling a mandrel of a blind rivet in use;
- a drive assembly for causing the gripper to grip and pull the mandrel of the rivet to be set in use;
- a nosepiece attachment for releasably retaining a nosepiece in place such that in use the blind rivet to be set can bear against the nosepiece while the mandrel thereof is pulled;
- a channel along which the mandrel of the rivet being set can be moved after being separated from the rivet;
- and a biasing member for urging a blocker into the channel for blocking movement of the separated mandrel along the channel whereby the separated mandrel must urge the blocker out of the way against the biasing member in order to move past the blocker.
