Abstract
A fastener clip system including a carrier and a fastener clip configured to fit over the carrier. The fastener clip includes at least one wing. The wing includes an engagement region that includes a depressed portion configured to be secured against a slot.

A fastener clip system comprising:
- a carrier configured to fit over a blade attached to a surface;
- and
- a fastener clip configured to fit over the carrier, wherein the fastener clip comprises:
- at least one wing, wherein the at least one wing is configured to engage a slot in a surface,
- a first set of barbs that are bent in toward the carrier and are configured to secure the fastener clip to the carrier as the fastener clip fits over the carrier, and
- a second set of barbs that are bent in toward the carrier and are configured to secure the fastener clip to the blade through corresponding channels/openings in the carrier.

- a body panel comprising a blade attached to the body panel;
- a carrier configured to fit over the blade;
- a fastener clip configured to fit over the carrier and attach to the carrier and the blade, wherein the fastener clip comprises;
- a first set of barbs that are bent in toward the carrier and are configured to secure the fastener clip to the carrier as the fastener clip fits over the carrier, and
- a second set of barbs that are bent in toward the carrier and are configured to secure the fastener clip to the blade through corresponding channels/openings in the carrier
- a chassis section comprising a slot, wherein the fastener clip is configured to attach to the chassis through the slot.
