Abstract
Various juicing devices, systems, and methods are disclosed. The juicing device has mechanical squeezers, combination blades, front trays, and/or control systems for effective pressing.
Claims20
A juicer machine comprising:
- a grinder assembly configured to grind food, the grinder assembly comprising a hopper, a motor, and a blade unit, the blade unit being rotatable by the motor about an axis of rotation, the blade unit comprising a front and a rear, the front of the blade unit comprising:
- a first platform that is generally perpendicular to the axis of rotation;
- a second platform that is generally parallel to the first platform and is non-planar with the first platform;
- an edge extending between the first platform and the second platform;
- a plurality of teeth extending from the first platform;
- and
- a press assembly configured to receive the ground food from the grinder assembly and to press juice from the ground food.

A blade unit for cutting multiple types of produce, the blade unit comprising:
- a front comprising a first cutter adapted to cut a first type of produce and a second cutter adapted to cut a second type of produce;
- and
- a rear comprising a central connection port;
- wherein the blade unit is liquid impermeable and is adapted to rotate about a central axial axis.

A method of operating a juicer machine that includes a movable platen, a fixed platen, a linear actuator, an electronic sensor, and an electronic processor, wherein the method comprises, under the control of the electronic processor:
- advancing, with the linear actuator, the movable platen toward the fixed platen at a first speed;
- detecting, with the electronic sensor, a threshold amount of force applied by the linear actuator to the movable platen;
- and
- in response to the detection of the threshold amount of force, advancing, with the linear actuator, the movable platen toward the fixed platen at a second speed, the second speed being less than the first speed.
