Abstract
A mechanism for deploying and retracting an adjustable handling wheel from under different types of equipment supported on the floor, or different types of furniture, such as chairs, medical chairs, nursery chairs, examination chairs, bedside tables, beds without chassis, cabinets and others. The mechanism enables very easy handling and movement of the equipment or furniture from one place to another place.
Claims10
A mechanism of deployment and retracting of an adjustable handling wheel of equipment comprising a base frame of equipment, a supporting member, and at least two arms, wherein at least one arm is a supporting arm of the adjustable handling wheel and at least one arm is a control arm comprising a slotted link with a sliding member at least at one end, whereas both arms and are interconnected.
A method of deployment and retracting of positioning a wherein a supporting arm moves the adjustable handling wheel of equipment using a control arm, where a third pin of the supporting arm, which is coupled with a sliding member in a slotted link of the control arm, moves from the highest retracted, i.e. non-handling, position upon lifting a chair to the prepared activating position and then to the active, i.e. handling, position where the third pin of the supporting arm in the slotted link of the control arm is in the middle, and upon consequent lifting of the chair the position changes to prepared deactivating position, where the third pin is released in the slotted link co that the third pin could be positioned back to the retracted, i.e. non-handling, position.
