Abstract
The present disclosure relates to utilizing idle processing resources of a robot to reduce future burden on such processing resources. In particular, idle processing resources are utilized to identify future scenarios, and generate reactions to such future scenarios. The generated reactions are stored, and quickly retrieved as needed if corresponding identified future scenarios occur.
Claims14
A robot comprising a robot body, at least one processor carried by the robot body, and at least one non-transitory processor-readable storage medium carried by the robot body and communicatively coupled to the at least one processor, the at least one non-transitory processor-readable storage medium storing processor-executable instructions which when executed by the at least one processor cause the robot to:
- identify, by the at least one processor, idle processing resources of the at least one processor;
- and
- utilize the idle processing resources to proactively reduce future demand on processing resources, wherein the instructions which cause the robot to utilize the idle processing resources to proactively reduce future demand on processing resources cause the robot to:
- determine, by the at least one processor, a first context of the robot body based at least in part on first context data;
- identify, by the at least one processor, a future scenario based at least in part on the first context;
- generate, by the at least one processor, a reaction to the future scenario;
- store, by the at least one processor-readable storage medium, the reaction to the future scenario;
- and
- in response to a determination of occurrence of the future scenario, retrieve, by the at least one processor from the at least one non-transitory processor-readable storage medium, the reaction to the future scenario.
