Abstract
A cargo restraint panel may comprise a foam core and one or more side caps covering one or more sides of the foam core. A side cap may protect a side of the foam core covered by the side cap. A side cap may comprise a ridge that allows the side cap to compress.

A cargo restraint panel comprising:
- a foam core comprising a core front, a core rear, and a plurality of core sides extending between the core front and the core rear;
- a first side cap comprising a first plurality of ridges extending along a length of the first side cap, wherein the first side cap covers a first core side of the plurality of core sides, a first portion of the core front adjacent to the first core side, and a first portion of the core rear adjacent to the first core side;
- a second side cap comprising a second plurality of ridges extending along a length of the second side cap, wherein the second side cap covers a second core side of the plurality of core sides, a second portion of the core front adjacent to the second core side, and a second portion of the core rear adjacent to the second core side;
- a flexible front barrier covering at least a portion of the core front;
- and
- a flexible rear barrier covering at least a portion of the core rear.

- a foam core comprising a core front, a core rear, and a plurality of core sides extending between the core front and the core rear;
- a first side cap comprising a first compression ridge extending along a length of the first side cap, wherein the first side cap covers a first core side of the plurality of core sides, and wherein a first air gap separates the first core side and an interior surface of the first compression ridge;
- a second side cap comprising a second compression ridge extending along a length of the second side cap, wherein the second side cap covers a second core side of the plurality of core sides, and wherein a second air gap separates the second core side and an interior surface of the second compression ridge;
- a flexible front barrier covering at least a portion of the core front;
- and
- a flexible rear barrier covering at least a portion of the core rear.

- a foam core comprising a core front, a core rear, and a plurality of core sides extending between the core front and the core rear;
- a first side cap comprising a first plurality of ridges extending along a length of the first side cap, wherein the first side cap covers a first core side of the plurality of core sides, wherein the first plurality of ridges comprises a first rear ridge, a first compression ridge, and a first front ridge, and wherein the first plurality of ridges are configured so that the first side cap is placeable into contact with a planar surface so as to rest on the first rear ridge and the first front ridge without resting on the first compression ridge;
- a second side cap comprising a second plurality of ridges extending along a length of the second side cap, wherein the second side cap covers a second core side of the plurality of core sides, wherein the second plurality of ridges comprises a second rear ridge, a second compression ridge, and a second front ridge, and wherein the second plurality of ridges are configured so that the second side cap is placeable into contact with a planar surface so as to rest on the second rear ridge and the second front ridge without resting on the second compression ridge;
- a flexible front barrier covering at least a portion of the core front;
- and
- a flexible rear barrier covering at least a portion of the core rear.
