• determine a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) search space monitoring configuration for a wireless device, the PDCCH search space monitoring configuration comprising a monitoring periodicity and a number of blind decodes for each search space of a plurality of search spaces over a plurality of slots;
• and
• send the monitoring configuration to the wireless device.

A method of monitoring signals for use in a wireless device, the method comprising:

• receiving a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) search space monitoring configuration from a network node, the monitoring configuration comprising a monitoring periodicity and a number of blind decodes for each search space of a plurality of search spaces over a plurality of slots;
• and
• monitoring each search space according to the monitoring periodicity and the number of blind decodes.

A wireless device capable of monitoring signals in a wireless communication network, the wireless device comprising processing circuitry operable to:

• receive a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) search space monitoring configuration from a network node, the monitoring configuration comprising a monitoring periodicity and a number of blind decodes for each search space of a plurality of search spaces over a plurality of slots;
• and
• monitor each search space according to the monitoring periodicity and the number of blind decodes.
