Abstract
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) including receiving a first reference signal (RS) from a first transmission reception point (TRP); receiving a second RS from a second TRP, wherein the first TRP and the second TRP are both associated with a BS; and transmitting, to the BS, an indication that one of a first shifted carrier frequency at which the first RS is received or a second shifted carrier frequency at which the second RS is received is preferred for use by the UE as a reference carrier frequency for demodulation.
Claims26
A user equipment (UE), comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- a processor coupled to the memory, the memory and the processor configured to cause the UE to:
- receive a first reference signal (RS) from a first transmission reception point (TRP);
- receive a second RS from a second TRP, wherein the first TRP and the second TRP are both associated with a base station (BS);
- and
- transmit, to the BS, an indication that one of a first shifted carrier frequency at which the first RS is received or a second shifted carrier frequency at which the second RS is received is preferred for use by the UE as a reference carrier frequency for demodulation.
A base station (BS), comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- a processor coupled to the memory, the memory and the processor configured to cause the BS to:
- transmit, via a first transmission reception point (TRP), a first reference signal (RS) to a user equipment (UE);
- transmit, via a second TRP, a second RS to the UE, wherein the first TRP and the second TRP are both associated with the BS;
- and
- receive, via one or more of the first TRP or the second TRP, an indication from the UE that one of a first shifted carrier frequency at which the first RS is received or a second shifted carrier frequency at which the second RS is received is preferred for use by the UE as a reference carrier frequency for demodulation.
A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- receiving a first reference signal (RS) from a first transmission reception point (TRP);
- receiving a second RS from a second TRP, wherein the first TRP and the second TRP are both associated with a base station (BS);
- and
- transmitting, to the BS, an indication that one of a first shifted carrier frequency at which the first RS is received or a second shifted carrier frequency at which the second RS is received is preferred for use by the UE as a reference carrier frequency for demodulation.
A non-transitory computer readable medium storing code for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE), the code comprising instructions executable by a processor to cause the UE to:
- receive a first reference signal (RS) from a first transmission reception point (TRP);
- receive a second RS from a second TRP, wherein the first TRP and the second TRP are both associated with a base station (BS);
- and
- transmit, to the BS, an indication that one of a first shifted carrier frequency at which the first RS is received or a second shifted carrier frequency at which the second RS is received is preferred for use by the UE as a reference carrier frequency for demodulation.
