Abstract
A media presentation system ingests and stores media data for recordings (e.g., of events such as meetings, presentations, conferences) and provides short sections of media known as clips, that reference ranges of the full recording, with all clips referencing the same underlying media data stored by the system. The system also enables embedding of any number of arbitrarily sized (e.g., by time and dimensions) clips in a web page or document.
Claims25
A method for documenting events, the method comprising:
- generating a graphical user interface that enables users to author documents and to embed reference data defining referenced portions of time-indexed content from the events in the documents;
- and
- enabling users to selectively display transcript text corresponding to the referenced portions.
A method for documenting events, the method comprising:
- generating a graphical user interface (GUI) displaying transcript text for recordings of the events from a transcript text layer of the recordings or displayed images from other layers of the recordings;
- and
- in response to detecting, via the GUI, user input indicating insertion of user-selected portions of the displayed transcript text or images into documents via a page editor, generating reference data defining referenced portions of time-indexed content from the events delineated by the user-selected portions of the displayed transcript text or images and embedding the reference data into the pages.
A method for documenting events, the method comprising:
- generating a graphical user interface (GUI) implementing a page editor for presenting and editing the pages and the GUI implementing a time range selector for selecting portions of recordings of events;
- and
- in response to detecting, via the GUI, user definition of portions of the event via the time range selector, generating reference data defining referenced portions of time-indexed content from the events delineated by the time range selector and embedding the reference data into the pages.
A method for documenting events, the method comprising:
- generating a graphical user interface (GUI) for presenting and editing pages including embedded clip reference data defining referenced portions of time-indexed content from events;
- providing a search interface for receiving user entered search terms;
- and
- searching for matches to the search terms by searching for the matches in user-authored content of the pages and within layers of the referenced portions, and presenting search results including the user-authored content matching the search terms and within the layers of the references portions.
A method for documenting events, the method comprising:
- storing in a data store time-indexed media data depicting the events;
- providing recording objects for the events, each of the recording objects corresponding to an event and being associated with the stored time-indexed media data depicting the corresponding events;
- and
- enabling definition of clip objects representing portions of the time-indexed media data, each of the clip objects including reference data defining a referenced portion of the stored time-indexed content for the identified recording object.
A method for documenting events, the method comprising:
- storing time-indexed media depicting the events in several layers including one or more of a transcript layer, annotations layer, chat layer, screenshare layer and/or slides layer;
- and
- enabling creation of documents including references to the time-indexed media data.
