Method and system for managing network-to-network interconnection

A cloud provider network, comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations of:
• receiving, at a cloud-managed service running in the cloud provider network, first data indicative of user intent for the cloud-managed service to interconnect a first network and a second network, the user intent comprising a user description of the interconnect between the first network and the second network;
• translating the user intent into a network intent that corresponds to the user intent, the network intent representing configuration details usable by data plane adaptors to configure the interconnect between the first network and the second network;
• based at least in part on the network intent:
• establishing a first connection with the first network and the cloud provider network;
• establishing a second connection with the second network and the cloud provider network;
• and
• establishing the interconnect between the first network and the second network using the first and second connections and via the cloud provider network.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed, instruct one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• receiving, at a cloud-managed service running on a cloud provider network, first data indicative of user intent for the cloud-managed service to interconnect a first network and a second network, the user intent comprising a user description of the interconnect between the first network and the second network;
• translating the user intent into a network intent that corresponds to the user intent, the network intent representing configuration details usable by data plane adaptors to configure the interconnect between the first network and the second network;
• based at least in part on the network intent:
• establishing a first connection with the first network and the cloud provider network;
• establishing a second connection with the second network and the cloud provider network;
• and
• establishing the interconnect between the first network and the second network using the first and second connections and via the cloud provider network.
