Abstract
An EC motor with a rotor. The rotor has a hub with outwardly extending silicon steel laminates with gaps between. Rectangular neodymium permanent magnets are positioned in the gaps. Wedge-shaped ferrite permanent magnets are positioned radially between the silicon steel laminates and the hub of the rotor.
Claims6
A rotor for an internal rotor EC motor comprising:
- a. a central hub connected to an axis for rotation;
- b. outwardly extending silicon steel laminates positioned around the circumference of the rotor and spaced circumferentially around the rotor with gaps between the adjacent silicon steel laminates;
- c. first permanent magnets interposed in the gaps between the silicone steel laminates;
- d. second permanent magnets aligned radially with the silicon steel laminates and positioned between the steel laminates and the central hub of the rotor.
