Abstract
A battery module including: a battery cell stack including one or more battery cells, each of the one or more battery cells including electrode leads; a housing for the battery cell stack; and a flame retardant sheet disposed between the battery cell stack and the housing. The flame retardant sheet covers a portion of the battery cell stack excluding a portion of the battery cell stack at a front portion or a rear portion in a longitudinal direction of the battery cell stack.

A battery module, comprising:
- a battery cell stack including one or more battery cells, each of the one or more battery cells including electrode leads,
- a housing for the battery cell stack, and
- a flame retardant sheet disposed between the battery cell stack and the housing,
- wherein the flame retardant sheet covers a portion of the battery cell stack,
- excluding a portion of the battery cell stack at a front portion or a rear portion in a longitudinal direction of the battery cell stack.
