Abstract
A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte, wherein the positive electrode includes a composite oxide containing lithium and a transition metal, and an additive covering at least a portion of a surface of the composite oxide; the additive includes a cyclic inorganic phosphoric acid compound, the nonaqueous electrolyte includes lithium ion and an anion, and the anion includes an anion of an oxalate complex.

A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte, wherein
- the positive electrode includes a composite oxide containing lithium and a transition metal, and an additive covering at least a portion of a surface of the composite oxide;
- the additive includes a cyclic inorganic phosphoric acid compound,
- the nonaqueous electrolyte includes lithium ion and an anion, and
- the anion includes an anion of an oxalate complex.
