Abstract
Systems and methods are described for a media guidance application (e.g., implemented on a user device) that allows users to select any arbitrary position in a virtual reality environment from where to view the virtual reality content and changes a user’s perspective based on the selected position.

A computer-implemented method comprising:
- receiving a request from a first user to access a video-based media asset;
- providing the video-based media asset to the first user;
- receiving a live video feed of the first user reacting to the video-based media asset;
- receiving a request from a second user to access the video-based media asset;
- and
- generating for simultaneous display to the second user the video-based media asset and the live video feed of the first user reacting to the video-based media asset.

- memory;
- control circuitry configured to:
- receive a request from a first user to access a video-based media asset, wherein a user profile of the first user is stored in the memory;
- provide the video-based media asset to the first user;
- receive a live video feed of the first user reacting to the video-based media asset;
- receive a request from a second user to access the video-based media asset;
- and
- generate for simultaneous display to the second user the video-based media asset and the live video feed of the first user reacting to the video-based media asset.
