Abstract
A microfluidic preconcentrator is provided, designed to receive a gas sample containing gaseous pollutants such as volatile organic compounds, to concentrate the gaseous pollutants and to transfer them to an analysis device. An assembly comprising an enclosure, a microfluidic preconcentrator, connectors and a means for holding the microfluidic preconcentrator inside the enclosure, a heating device and a cooling device, are provided.
Claims15
A microfluidic preconcentrator designed to receive a gaseous sample comprising gaseous pollutants, concentrate the gaseous pollutants and transfer them to an analysis device, the microfluidic preconcentrator comprising:
- a microfluidic circuit allowing the circulation of a pure gas or a gas comprising gaseous pollutants and comprising at least one input designed to receive said gas and at least one output designed to transfer said gas to an analysis device,
- the microfluidic circuit being made of a material chosen from among metals, glass or polymers or a combination of at least two of these materials;
- an adsorption means for the gaseous pollutants inside the microfluidic circuit between the at least one input and the at least one output of the microfluidic circuit;
- and
- a heating means of a power less than or equal to 100 watts, preferably less than or equal to 50 watts,
- the microfluidic circuit and the heating means being designed to heat the adsorption means to a temperature of between 120 and 350° C., preferably of 150 to 250° C.
