Abstract
The present invention provides a novel glycerol glucoside-based compound having excellent ultraviolet light shielding performance and anti-inflammatory effect, and a composition including the compound for ultraviolet light shielding or anti-inflammation.

A compound represented by the following Chemical Formula 1, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, or a solvate thereof the compound:
- wherein in the above Chemical Formula,
- R1 and R2 are the same as or different from each other, each independently being selected from:
- a hydroxyl group and a C1 to C6 alkoxy group, wherein at least one of R1 and R2 is a C1 to C6 alkoxy group.
