Abstract
A foldable screen for a greenhouse is described. A foldable filter for greenhouse, comprises a foldable substrate and at least one stack of films on the foldable substrate, wherein said at least one stack of films is adapted to —reflect solar infrared radiations in the spectral range from 850 nm to 2,000 nm, and —be transparent to solar radiations in the spectral range from 400 nm to 750 nm, wherein said at least one stack of film comprises: —a first layer of TiO2, ZTO, Si3N4 or NbOx; —a second layer of Ag on top of the first layer, and —a third layer of dielectric on top of the second layer.
Claims21
A foldable screen for greenhouse, comprising:
- a plurality of strips that are spaced apart, each strip comprising a filter, the filter comprising a substrate and at least one stack of films mounted on or adhering to the substrate, wherein the at least one stack of films is adapted to:
- reflect solar infrared radiations in the spectral range from 850 nm to 2000 nm, and
- be transparent to solar radiations in the spectral range from 400 nm to 750 nm.
The foldable screen of claim 20, the stack of films comprising:
- the first layer being made of T1O2;
- the second layer of Ag on top of the first layer;
- the third layer of dielectric on top of the second layer.
The foldable screen of claim 20, further comprising:
- a seed layer of Cu, NiCr, NiCrNx or Au between the first layer and the second layer.
The foldable screen of claim 20, further comprising:
- a blocking layer of cu blocking layer of Cu, NiCr, NiCrNx or Au between the second layer and the third layer.
(canceled)
The foldable screen of claim 20, wherein the at least one stack of films is adapted to reject at least 20%, at least 30%, or at least 40% of solar radiations in a green spectral range from 500 nm to 565 nm.
The foldable screen of claim 20, wherein the first, second and third layers have a thickness within the range respectively from 20 nm to 25 nm, from 20 nm to 30 nm, and from 30 nm to 40 nm.
(canceled)
The foldable screen of claim 20, further comprising:
- an additional layer transparent in the spectral range from 400 nm to 2500 nm and disposed on top of the at least one stack of films.
A selective infrared filter apparatus for greenhouse, comprising:
- a first foldable screen, and
- a second foldable screen comprising a second foldable substrate and at least one stack of films coated on the second foldable substrate, wherein the at least one stack of films of the second foldable screen is adapted to transmit at least 70% of solar radiations within the range from 400 nm to 2500 nm when the radiations hit an active film at normal incidence, and to reject at least 80% or radiations within the range from 3000 nm to 50,000 nm,
- wherein either of the first and second foldable filtering films may be unfolded to cover substantially a same area inside the greenhouse.
A method of manufacturing a foldable screen for greenhouse, the foldable screen comprising a foldable substrate and a plurality of strips mounted on the foldable substrate for filtering solar spectrum, each strip comprising a stack of films coated on the foldable substrate, the method comprising:
- providing the foldable substrate,
- depositing several layers of coatings on the foldable substrate in order to obtain the at least one stack of films,
- cutting the at least one stack of films in strips, and
- mounting the strips onto a canvas.
