A process for preparing a compound of formula (I):
- in an enantio enriched form,
- wherein:
- R1 is hydrogen or an acyl group;
- R2 is hydrogen or an amino-protecting group;
- * is a chiral centre of an (S) configuration;
- the process comprising enzymatic kinetic resolution of a compound of formula (II):
- wherein:
- R1 is hydrogen,
- in the presence of an acyl donor.
