Abstract
A polymer layer includes a composition including polyborondimethylsiloxane and benzoyl peroxide. The polymer layer has a light transmittance of about 84% or more in a wavelength range of about 400 nm to about 800 nm. Therefore, the polymer layer exhibits strong impact resistance and optical transparency.

A polymer layer derived from a composition comprising:
- polyborondimethylsiloxane;
- and
- benzoyl peroxide,
- wherein the polymer layer has a light transmittance of about 84% or more in a wavelength range of about 400 nm to about 800 nm.

- a display panel;
- and
- a protective film disposed on the display panel, the protective film including a first base layer, a second base layer disposed on the first base layer, and a polymer layer disposed between the first base layer and the second base layer,
- wherein the polymer layer is derived from a composition including polyborondimethylsiloxane and benzoyl peroxide and the polymer layer has a light transmittance of about 84% or more in a wavelength range of about 400 nm to about 800 nm.
