Abstract
In a case where a user instructs an image forming apparatus to perform processing of sending scanned image data to the user from a mobile terminal, the user needs to input a user's e-mail address on the mobile terminal, which includes an inconvenient operation. From the mobile terminal, the user instructs the image forming apparatus to send the data to the user's e-mail address which is preliminarily registered in the image forming apparatus.
Claims20
A method for a system comprising devices that include an information processing device and an image forming apparatus, the method comprising:
- registering authentication information at the information processing device;
- transmitting, based on a user operation, the registered authentication information and job information by the information processing device to the image forming apparatus, the job information being information for causing the image forming apparatus to execute an image forming function;
- receiving the transmitted authentication information and the transmitted job information at the image forming apparatus;
- and
- executing login processing by using the received authentication information and executing the image forming function based on the job information at the image forming apparatus.
An image forming apparatus comprising:
- a receiving unit configured to receive transmitted authentication information and transmitted job information, the authentication information being information registered at an information processing device, the job information being information for causing the image forming apparatus to execute an image forming function;
- and
- an executing unit configured to execute login processing by using the received authentication information and execute the image forming function based on the job information.
A method for an image forming apparatus, the method comprising:
- receiving transmitted authentication information and transmitted job information, the authentication information being information registered at an information processing device, the job information being information for causing the image forming apparatus to execute an image forming function;
- and
- executing login processing by using the received authentication information and executing the image forming function based on the job information.
