## Abstract

A hover and thrust control assembly for dual-mode aircraft including a plurality of flight components mechanically coupled to an aircraft includes a support structure attached to an aircraft frame of an aircraft having a control stick coupled to the support structure. The control stick may include a length and radius and configured to be manipulated along a plurality of axes, wherein the manipulation of the control stick produces an electronic signal, wherein the control stick is further configured to be manipulated rotationally about the length of the control stick. A first interface device disposed on the control stick may be configured to receive an interaction and adjust a lift of the dual-mode aircraft as a function of the interaction. A second interface device may be configured to receive an interaction and adjust the lift of the dual-mode aircraft as a function of the interaction.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A three-dimensional directional control assembly for a dual-mode aircraft capable of vertical and forward thrust, the assembly comprising:
a support structure, wherein the support structure is coupled to a dual-mode aircraft;
a control stick coupled to the support structure, the control stick having a length and radius and configured to be manipulated along a plurality of axes, wherein the manipulation of the control stick produces an electronic signal, wherein the control stick is further configured to be manipulated rotationally about the length of the control stick;
a first interface device disposed on the control stick configured to:
receive an interaction; and
adjust a lift of the dual-mode aircraft as a function of the interaction; and
a second interface device, wherein the second interface is configured to:
receive an interaction; and
adjust the lift of the dual-mode aircraft as a function of the interaction.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The assembly of claim 1, wherein the support structure comprises:
an armrest; and
a vibration dampening feature.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The assembly of claim 1, wherein the structure is composed of an additively manufactured polymer material.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The assembly of claim 1, wherein the control stick is further configured to be manipulated rotationally about the length of the control stick.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The assembly of claim 1, wherein the first interface device and the second interface device are activated at the same time.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The assembly of claim 1, wherein:
the first interface device is a thrust element, wherein the thrust element is a vertical thrust propulsor; and
the first interface device is further configured to control RPM of the vertical thrust propulsor.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The assembly of claim 1, wherein:
the second interface device is a control surface, wherein the control surface is aileron; and
the second interface device is further configured to control a deflection of the aileron.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The assembly of claim 1, wherein the control stick comprises a palm lever disposed on the control stick.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The assembly of claim 1, wherein the electronic signal is measured by a plurality of sensors.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The assembly of claim 9, wherein the plurality of sensors is configured to send the electronic signal to a processor.

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

The assembly of claim 9, wherein the plurality of sensors includes a redundant sensor.

### Claim 12 (depends on 10)

The assembly of claim 10, wherein the processor is configured to manipulate the electronic signal, wherein the electronic signal can be used by a controller.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The assembly of claim 12, wherein the controller is configured to:
receive the electronic signal from the processor; and
modify a system of the dual-mode aircraft based on the electronic signal.

### Claim 14 (depends on 11)

The assembly of claim 11, wherein modifying the system of the dual-mode aircraft comprises actuating a control surface of the dual-mode aircraft.

### Claim 15 (depends on 9)

The assembly of claim 9, wherein the plurality of sensors comprise a shielding configured to shield at least a portion of the plurality of sensors from electromagnetic interference.

### Claim 16 (depends on 1)

The assembly of claim 1, wherein the control stick further comprises:
at least an aircraft control interface device, wherein the aircraft control interface device is disposed on the control stick.

### Claim 17 (depends on 11)

The assembly of claim 11, wherein the at least an aircraft control interface device is reachable while the control stick is being manipulated.

### Claim 18 (depends on 11)

The assembly of claim 11, wherein the aircraft control interface device is configured to:
