Novel borate compound-containing composition

A composition, comprising:

• a compound of formula (4):
• R and R′ each independently being an optionally substituted C1-30 alkyl group, an optionally substituted C1-15 cycloalkyl group, or an optionally substituted C6-14 aryl group;
• and
• a compound of formula (1):
• wherein
• R1, R2, R3, and Rare each independently a C6-14 aryl group substituted by one or more fluorine atoms or one or more fluoro C1-4 alkyl groups, and
• A+ is H+, a cation having a total carbon number of not less than 25 and having formula (2):
• R5, R6, and R7 each independently being an optionally substituted C1-30 alkyl group, or an optionally substituted C6-14 aryl group, or a cation having a total carbon number of not less than 25 and having formula (3):
• Ar1, Ar2, and Ar3 each independently being a C6-14 aryl group optionally substituted by one or more C1-30 alkyl groups or C1-30 alkoxy groups,
• provided that when A+ is a H+, a total carbon number of R and R′ is not less than 20, and a content of the compound of formula (4) with respect to 1 mol of the compound of formula (1) is not less than 2 mol, and
• when A+ is a cation of formula (2) or a cation of formula (3), a total carbon number of R and R′ is not less than 8.

A composition, comprising:

• a compound of formula (4):
• R and R′ each independently being an optionally substituted C1-30 alkyl group, an optionally substituted C3-15 cycloalkyl group, or an optionally substituted C6-14 aryl group, a total carbon number of R and R′ being not less than 20;
• and
• a compound of formula (1):
• wherein
• R1, R2, R3, and R4 are each independently a C6-14 aryl group substituted by one or more fluorine atoms or one or more fluoro C1-4 alkyl groups,
• A+ is a H+,
• wherein a content of the compound of formula (4) with respect to 1 mol of the compound of formula (1) is not less than 2 mol,
• comprising reacting a compound of formula (5):
• wherein
• R1, R2, R3, and R4 are as defined above,
• R8 and R9 are each independently a C1-6 alkyl group, and
• a total carbon number of R8OR9 is not more than 7,
• with the compound of formula 4:
• wherein R and R′ are as defined above.
