Abstract
A thermal transfer recording medium includes a base, a release layer disposed on or above the base, and a thermally fusible ink layer disposed on or above the release layer. The release layer includes wax and ethylene-propylene-ethylidene norbornene rubber.
Claims8
1:
- A thermal transfer recording medium, comprising:
- a base;
- a release layer disposed on or above the base;
- and
- a thermally fusible ink layer disposed on or above the release layer,
- wherein the release layer includes wax and ethylene-propylene-ethylidene norbornene rubber.
3 more elements
2:
- The thermal transfer recording medium according to claim 1, wherein the thermally fusible ink layer includes wax and a colorant.
3:
- The thermal transfer recording medium according to claim 1, wherein ylidene norbornene content of the ethylene-propylene-ethylidene norbornene rubber in the release layer is 4.5% by mass or greater.
4:
- The thermal transfer recording medium according to claim 1, wherein an amount of the ethylene-propylene-ethylidene norbornene rubber in the release layer is 5 parts by mass or greater but 30 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass of the wax included in the release layer.
5:
- The thermal transfer recording medium according to claim 1, wherein the wax in the release layer has a melting point of 70 degrees Celsius or higher but 120 degrees Celsius or lower.
6:
- The thermal transfer recording medium according to claim 1, wherein the wax in the release layer has a penetration degree of 3 or less.
7:
- The thermal transfer recording medium according to claim 1, wherein the release layer has an average thickness of 0.2 micrometers or greater but 1.0 micrometer or less.
8:
- A transferred product, comprising:
- a transfer target on which at least part of the thermally fusible ink layer of the thermal transfer recording medium according to claim 1 is transferred from the thermal transfer recording medium through thermal transfer.
