Abstract
A glazing unit is provided for producing an aesthetically pleasing effect. The glazing unit may include at least one polymer with a first structured surface to which a photonic structure is applied. The surface can reflect a first partial spectrum of incident electromagnetic radiation, and can transmit a second partial spectrum of incident electromagnetic radiation. A reflected proportion corresponds to a higher harmonic and is in a visible spectral range.
Claims19
A glazing unit for an esthetically pleasing effect, comprising:
- at least one polymer comprising a first structured surface to which a photonic structure is applied and which is configured to:
- reflect a first partial spectrum of incident electromagnetic radiation;
- and
- transmit a second partial spectrum of incident electromagnetic radiation;
- wherein a reflected proportion corresponds to a higher harmonic and is in a visible spectral range.
A method for producing a glazing unit comprising at least one photonic structure and a polymer, the method comprising:
- providing a polymer,
- producing a first structured surface on the polymer;
- and
- applying the photonic structure to the first structured surface, the photonic structure configured to reflect a first partial spectrum of incident electromagnetic radiation and configured to transmit a second partial spectrum of incident electromagnetic radiation, wherein the reflected proportion corresponds to a higher harmonic and is in a visible spectral range.
A solar module comprising:
- at least one glazing unit, the at least one glazing unit comprising:
- at least one polymer comprising a first structured surface to which a photonic structure is applied and which is configured to:
- reflect a first partial spectrum of incident electromagnetic radiation;
- and
- transmit a second partial spectrum of incident electromagnetic radiation;
- wherein a reflected proportion corresponds to a higher harmonic and is in a visible spectral range;
- at least one first embedding film;
- at least one solar cell;
- at least one second embedding film;
- and
- at least one backside film.
