Abstract
A single-pocket cage segment of a multipart rolling-element bearing cage includes first and second side walls connected by first and second end walls. At least one of the first and second side walls or at least one of the first and second end walls is a semi-finished profile. The semi-finished profile may include a longitudinal channel in which a portion of an auxiliary body and/or a portion of a connector may be inserted.
Claims20
A single-pocket cage segment of a multipart rolling-element bearing cage, the cage segment comprising:
- first and second side walls connected by first and second end walls,
- wherein at least one of the first and second side walls or at least one of the first and second end walls is a semi-finished profile.
A rolling-element bearing comprising:
- an inner ring;
- an outer ring;
- a plurality of rolling elements disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring, and
- a plurality of cage segments according to claim 20,
- wherein each of a first subset of the plurality of rolling elements is located in one of the plurality of cage segments and each of a second subset of the plurality of rolling elements is located between an adjacent pair of the cage segments.
