Burner with torch ignition mechanism and operation method thereof

An operation method of a burner with a torch ignition mechanism including:

• a torch part including:
• a torch combustor liner that burns a fuel and an oxidant;
• a torch fuel supply part that supplies a fuel into the torch combustor liner;
• a torch oxidant supply part that supplies an oxidant into the torch combustor liner;
• an ignition device that ignites a fuel-air mixture inside the torch combustor liner;
• and a combustion gas pipe that leads a combustion gas generated in the torch combustor liner to one end side;
• a main fuel-main oxidant supply part including:
• a main fuel supply passage formed in an annular shape on an outer periphery of the torch part on one end side;
• and a main oxidant supply passage formed in an annular shape on an outer periphery of the main fuel supply passage;
• a flame detection mechanism that is provided on the other end side of the torch part with respect to the torch combustor liner and detects a flame in the torch combustor liner or a flame formed by a fuel and an oxidant supplied from the main fuel-main oxidant supply part;
• and
• a control device that controls a flow rate of a fuel and a flow rate of an oxidant to be supplied to the torch fuel supply part, the torch oxidant supply part, and the main fuel-main oxidant supply part, the control device controlling the ignition device, the method comprising:
• causing the control device to execute:
• based on a signal relating to an ignition start, driving the ignition device and supplying a fuel and an oxidant into the torch combustor liner from the torch fuel supply part and the torch oxidant supply part;
• at an operation time after a lapse of a predetermined time from an operation time when a flame in the torch combustor liner is detected by the flame detection mechanism, stopping the ignition device and supplying a fuel and an oxidant from the main fuel-main oxidant supply part;
• stopping the supplies of the fuel and the oxidant into the torch combustor liner at a predetermined operation time set based on an ignition estimated time until a combustion gas generated in the torch combustor liner ignites a mixture of the fuel and the oxidant supplied from the main fuel-main oxidant supply part;
• and
• after stopping the supplies of the fuel and the oxidant into the torch combustor liner, determining whether or not a flame by the fuel and the oxidant supplied from the main fuel-main oxidant supply part is present based on a detection signal from the flame detection mechanism.
