Abstract
Disclosed is a battery module improved in efficiency of resistance welding and bonding reliability. The battery module includes a plurality of secondary batteries, each having electrode terminals; a module housing having an inner space configured to accommodate the plurality of secondary batteries; and a bus bar including a body portion having a metal plate configured to electrically connect the plurality of secondary batteries to each other and a connection portion extending from the body portion to contact the electrode terminal. Each of the first connection portion, the second connection portion, and the third connection portion has at least one welding point.
Claims11
A battery module, comprising:
- a plurality of secondary batteries, each having at least two electrode terminals therein;
- a module housing having an inner space configured to accommodate the plurality of secondary batteries;
- and
- a bus bar including a body portion having a metal plate configured to electrically connect the plurality of secondary batteries to each other and a connection portion extending from the body portion to contact the electrode terminal,
- wherein the connection portion includes:
- a first connection portion configured to protrusively extend from an end of the body portion toward the electrode terminal;
- a second connection portion configured to protrusively extend from the end of the body portion toward the electrode terminal and located at one side of the first connection portion, the second connection portion having a part spaced apart from the first connection portion by a predetermined distance;
- and
- a third connection portion configured to protrusively extend from the end of the body portion toward the electrode terminal and located at the other side of the first connection portion, the third connection portion having a part spaced apart from the first connection portion by a predetermined distance,
- wherein each of the first connection portion, the second connection portion, and the third connection portion has at least one welding point.
